Your data is maximally protected with us. docurex® offers over 20 security mechanisms, including 256-bit encryption, audit-proof logging, secure document display, and hosting in ISO 27001-certified data centers in Germany. All security measures comply with the highest international standards and are regularly reviewed and updated.
Audit-proof logging means that every activity in the data room – such as accesses, changes, or downloads – is recorded immutably. These logs cannot be manipulated afterward and serve as legally secure documentation of all processes. If necessary, you can track exactly who accessed which documents when and what actions were performed.
Two-factor authentication provides an additional security layer during login. After entering the username and password (first factor), a one-time code is sent via SMS to the user's registered mobile phone or can be generated via the Google Authenticator app (second factor). Login is only possible with this code. This ensures that only authorized persons can log in, even if the username and password have been compromised.
The automatic watermarks are stored in a special layer of the PDF document. They can be freely configured and typically contain information such as the user's name, date and time of access, or a unique ID. These watermarks are not easy to remove and enable tracking if documents are shared without authorization. The watermarks do not affect the readability of the documents.
Yes, docurex® offers a granular permission concept that allows you to customize access rights for different user groups. You can define which users can access which folders and documents and what actions (viewing, downloading, editing) they can perform. Additionally, you can define the logging level for each user and, if necessary, restrict the IP address range from which access is allowed.
