How secure is my data in the docurex® data room?

Your data is protected to the maximum. docurex® offers more than 20 security mechanisms, including 256-bit encryption, tamper-proof logging, secure document viewing and hosting in ISO 27001-certified data centres in Germany. All security measures meet the highest international standards and are reviewed regularly.

What does tamper-proof logging mean?

Tamper-proof logging means that every activity in the data room – such as access, changes or downloads – is recorded in an unalterable way. These logs cannot be changed after the fact and can be retrieved at any time for audits and legal evidence.

How does two-factor authentication work with docurex®?

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security at login. After you enter your username and password (first factor), a one-time code is sent by SMS to your registered mobile phone or via the Google Authenticator app (second factor).

How are watermarks implemented in documents?

Automatic watermarks are stored in a dedicated layer of the PDF document. They can be freely configured and typically contain information such as the name of the user who opened the document, the date and time, and other identifying details.

Can I customise access permissions for different user groups?

Yes, docurex® offers a granular permission concept that lets you customise access permissions for different user groups. You can define which users may access which folders and documents and which actions (view, download, print) are allowed.
